AAI Awards

The Architectural Association of Ireland (AAI) founded in 1896 is a cultural and resource organisation funded by the Arts Council dedicated to the promotion of Architecture and the allied arts and sciences and run by an elected voluntary committee. The AAI organise lectures, site visits, and exhibitions, and publish a periodical "Building Material" twice yearly featuring critical articles on current architectural issues and contemporary practice.

Aims Of AAI Awards
To encourage higher standards of architecture throughout the country, to inform the public about emerging directions in contemporary architecture and to recognise projects that make a contribution to Irish Architecture. The competition is open to architects in Ireland and to Irish architects abroad.

The AAI Awards 23 Travelling Exhibition will be on show in Iveagh Hall (BLU Library intersection) every day during the Trinity Arts' Festival, 9th-13th February 2009*.
