•12pm – 1pm: Architectural Tour of the East End
•12pm – 1pm: Mask Making Workshop (191 Pearse St.)
•12pm – 2pm: Camera Obscura in the Amnesty Room 6.2.1
Using a camera obscura is a method for producing accurate images of scenery. The artist is in a darkened room, and through a small hole in one wall light comes in forming a sharp image of the world outside on the artist's canvas to guide their work. It is like being inside a camera! Test it out for yourself in our own camera obscura on the 2nd floor of House 6 - we'll provide all you need to produce an accurate painting of Front Square and the Campanile in minutes.
•2pm – 3pm: Makeup for Film Workshop
We will set up studio lights and a high-quality camera, and when people have their make-up done we will take portrait-quality photos of them. The photos will then go on our website and they can be downloaded.
•3pm – 4pm: Sculpting with Latex: Bridging the Gap Between Cartoons and 3D – a workshop hosted by Mr. Balloonatic, British Balloon Modeller of the Year 2007, in the JCR
•7pm – 8pm: Lecture with Colm Mac Athlaioch (Ed Burke Theatre)
How to get into illustrating in modern magazines and modern satire in graphic cartoons. Colm works on Mongrel and with Monster Truck Gallery.
